On gray winter days, we look to regal shades and vibrant hues of purple and violet to enrich our outfits, our homes, our spirits. Here we share a few of our current cravings...
We're sure you know this by now, but we're obsessed with bold accessories. Right now the ones killing us slowly include Roberto Di Castro's resin bracelet (at Kirna Zabete–love!), Burberry's fine check embossed acrylic bangle, and the ultra lust-worthy Yves Saint Laurent 'arty' agate earrings, all shown above.
Long fans of Kara Ross' designs, we've always dreamed about her large shirt cuffs and the one above in gold and purple lizard is proving very hard for us to resist.
Want to bring the royal jewel tone to your home? Kartell's Cindy table lamp might fit the bill nicely. Gorgeous on and off.
For a big night out, you might want to skip the LBD and the now popular (but not always flattering) LSD and opt for something a bit more colorful and fun. Sandra Bullock wore the above purple gown from Bottega Veneta to the Golden Globes, and we'd love to work the look for a killer night on the town...but let's take it downtown, shall we? Forget the diamonds and up-swept hair; We want to see this gown paired with a chic Rick Owens leather vest, little black booties, and an Eddie Borgo spike bracelet.

But bringing the rich color into your life doesn't have to cost a princely sum: Consider a DIY project and paint your place more lovely.
