What They're Wearing to Fashion Week

February 09, 2011

We've checked in with five of our fashionable favorites to find out what they'll be wearing to Fall 2011 New York Fashion Week.
What They're Wearing to Fashion Week

"Though I have 20/20 vision, my Warby Parker birth control specs are going to make many an outfit for me. Paired with excessive suede (cue the Rag & Bone Elger leggings) and lots of Mongolian fur (Hi Adrienne Landau, I should start billing my birth control bill to you), I’m going to do my alias proud. Hopefully hop on the street style stardom boat too. See you at the proverbial tents! Oh and P.S. I dare you to spot me without a turban."

–Leandra Medine, The Man Repeller

"This coming Fashion Week I am definitely most excited to rock some of my favorite new pieces for Spring/Summer featuring bold colors and fearless prints. Among them being my Prada Men's Look-36 Rainbow striped ribbed sweater, Proenza Schouler Pre-Spring Look-4 Baja Pullover and loads of Givenchy Leopard, most importantly my new Leopard print high-top sneakers. Outerwear always plays a key role when I'm on the run during Fashion Week and I couldn't be more excited to show off my new Proenza Schouler A/W10 Look-17 Blue Fox-Fur trimmed, white leather sleeved Varsity coat."

Andrew Mukamal, Stylist

"Fashion week is always an insane time for me because not only am I attending shows and events, I'm also managing a ton of social media and editorial projects for various clients. I rarely get to stop in at home and sometimes I'm bouncing around the city for 15 hours nonstop, so I like to keep it light--I'll only carry a small Chanel bag with my Blackberry, iPhone, a couple of credit cards, keys, my NARS lipstick in Belle du Jour, and my passport. And to keep warm, I'll have on my very favorite Rag & Bone Euston coat, Acne wedge boots, thick Wolford tights, and lots of cashmere layers underneath!"

Carol Han, CA Creative

"I know a lot of New Yorkers who go on and on about hating the cold and loving the warm weather here, but I’m pretty much the opposite. Beyond the fact that, hey, I sweat, there are just so many more sartorial options in colder weather thanks to layering and accessories. So for this season, I have, first and foremost, my Burberry overcoat at the ready, and lately I’ve been throwing a thin Calvin Klein leather jacket underneath to not only add an extra layer of warmth but also a bit of edge to the look. Also, cold weather is all about boots, boots, boots, and my pair au courant is a Ralph Lauren Macon Calf boot with a heritage-inspired ankle belt wrap. To finish off my look is, as always, my hunter green Filson shoulder bag and my Blackberry twirling in my fingers."

"Show outfits? What show outfits? Between legit show requests, ridic show requests, seating boards, photographer lists and the Oscars I haven't given it a minute of thought. I just hope the birthday suit is in for Fall 2011..."
