Not just for grannies and hippies anymore, crochet is hitting a high note this season.
No doubt you’ve all seen how our own Leora Kadisha rocks her crochet look – now it’s your turn to try a hand at styling this perfect summer fabric.
Surely you have encountered the open-weave, lace-like fabric among your grandma’s collection of doilies or strewn across your hippie aunt’s couch in the form of a burnt orange patchwork throw. Despite all the negative publicity, though, crochet done right can easily look modern and effortlessly StyledOn.

The most important rule for killing it in crochet is to stick with black and white. Colors, particularly pastels, are best left on the thrift store rack. Another tip to keep in mind is that crochet looks particularly great next to tougher pieces. So don't be scared to pair it with worn cutoffs, a pair of seriously intense platforms, or a hardware heavy handbag.
As the open-weave of crochet leaves little to the imagination, it truly gives you a great excuse for showing off your favorite lacy bra or a hint of sun kissed skin.

If you’re still not entirely sure about committing to the look from head to toe, try peppering it in with pieces that mix in other fabrics or with some summery accessories featuring crochet.
Whether your look is ladylike, rocker chick, bohemian or pure sexpot, crochet can be worked into your wardrobe seamlessly.
How will you be wearing crochet this summer?
