Some things just make sense: Luella for Target, sugar and coffee, a good novel on a rainy day - and now, eyewear by StyledOn icons Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen.
For Spring 2010, the designers are launching an eyewear collection under their luxury label The Row, which will debut at their current retailers including Barneys New York and Bergdorf Goodman and range from $325 to $390 retail. According to WWD, the collection features four styles: a classic metal aviator, an oversize square frame, vintage-inspired brow-line rims and a pair of round shades taken from the Sixties.
Produced in licensed partnership with London-based Linda Farrow Eyewear (who has also worked with Alexander Wang, Jeremy Scott, Dries Van Noten, House of Holland, Bernard Wilhelm, Rodarte, Luella), you know this collection is going to be good. The Olsen have already struck gold with their accessory line for Elizabeth and James (their contemporary brand named for their brother and sister, which includes both jewelry and footwear) and will udoubtably do the same with The Row's eyewear.
We have always loved both Mary Kate and Ashley's unique styles and cannot wait for this collection to hit stores. What do you think? Plan on wearing this sunglasses at night?
