Who needs Victoria's Secrets? Agent Provocateur is well known for its heart pounding effects, but what happens when you take some of the line's new sizzling couture looks to the street? We can't wait to find out.
At the Spring/Summer 2010 New York Fashion Week, Agent Provocateur debuted its new couture line, Soirée, with a jaw dropping show at New York's Soho Grand Hotel. Leaving the demure look to the boudoir, models oozed down the runway bound in hand studded Italian leather, draped with strands of Swarovski crystals and outfitted in hand beaded cupless bras made of the finest French leavers' lace.
Perhaps even more shocking than the pieces themselves is that some of the looks from the couture line are being marketed as street wear: "show them off when you wear them out to your most fabulous and decadent Soirées". And with prices hitting over $4,000, why not hit the town in your couture S&M gear?
The most extreme look of the collection is the Heloise Corset made in dutchess satin, lined in leather and featuring two inch metal spikes across the back. With the corset, it is suggested that you "Wear it with jeans for an evening out". Then there is the glamorous Elysia Gown made of silk satin and with dramatic cut outs around the waist, hips and below: "For the more daring, pull the dress down from the hip to flash a bit of bum cleavage". I'm not sure my boyfriend will appreciate that tip, unless we stay decide to stay in for the evening, that is.
For those of you who prefer to keep your derriere cleavage under wraps, Agent Provocateur does offer some beautifully made pieces that provoke without exposing too much. I am dying over the Kendra Mac, a sheer trench coat made of PVC and lined with tulle. There is also the luxurious leopard print body featuring a neck bow and detachable belt. And to finish off any look with an extra dose of sex, Agent Provocateur offers the Ruxandria and Stefanie boots. The former, a buttery leather thigh high and the latter a lace up patent boot, both of which are sure to get any foot fetishist drooling.
Whether you tend to be a bit of an exhibitionist or prefer prudery, Agent Provocateur will be able to satisfy all of your needs.

And I thought I was racy for wanting pair of their latex leggings...
