Let the Rain Fall Down

Rain drops falling on your head? Ours too. Discover a few simple tips to help you stay StyledOn even when the rain pours down.

1. Slip out of those platform sandals and into a pair of rubber boots. We love Hunter's Original Wellingtons the best, but there are lots of great options out there. Popularized worldwide by Kate Moss, Hunter boots are now known and loved around the globe. Wear a pair in the rain and you'll look both practical and chic.

2. Whether you prefer a trench coat or an anorak, keep yourself covered on gray days. For amazing trench coats we suggest you try Burberry, Theory, Gryphon (see top, right) or Zara. For a cool, new style, try this one from ASOS that StyledOn member Abigail discovered. As for anoraks, we've always found the best at H&M.

3. Accessorize right. Cinch your trench with a belt other than the one it came with. Wear your coat on different days with different kinds of belts and in different colors. On colder days, add on a scarf that plays off of your belt, boots, handbag, or other accessories. Note: Accessories provide the perfect opportunity to experiment with pattern mixing. 4. Tame your tresses. The combination of rain and wind can really do a number to your ‘do. Instead of fighting the weather, use it as inspiration to try out that new braided style or bun you've been thinking about.
