Leading Ladies of the 82nd Annual Academy Awards

March 08, 2010

From Sandra Bullock to Sarah Jessica Parker, the stars shone bright at last night's 2010 Oscars. Here, a look at 10 of our favorite looks from the red carpet...
Leading Ladies of the 82nd Annual Academy Awards

Above: The evening's golden girl, Sandra Bullock looked smashing in Marchesa. Styled with her own jewelry, the world's glossiest hair and a perfect pout, Bullock made all the right moves this time. Sarah Jessica Parker nailed it as well in Chanel couture and Fred Leighton (FYI: If we went to the Oscars, this is exactly how we would do it). Loved her hair and make-up too.

Above: Jennifer Lopez's Armani Privé gown came from the designer's recent couture collection inspired by the moon–which is perhaps just one of the reasons why this woman-of-too-many-talents looked so illuminated on the red carpet. Her Cartier jewelry didn't hurt, either. Wearing a floral printed Dries Van Noten number, gorgeous Fred Leighton jewelry and the best smile around, Maggie Gyllenhaal had one of the most refreshing looks of the evening.

Above: New talent and darling of the fashion industry, Carey Mulligan schooled others on the red carpet in a beaded, strapless Prada gown and the most dazzling Fred Leighton earrings we've ever seen. Nicole Richie attended the show in a floor-length beaded Reem Acra gown that made her shine from within. With an elegant up-do and clean make-up, this is definitely one of her best red-carpet moments to date.

Above: What can we say? Georgina Chapman is simply a stunning woman–and although she fancies herself a designer, she always looks perfectly at home on the red carpet. Another star that always hits the red carpet hard is Demi Moore: the actress looked smokin' when she took the stage to present an award in Atelier Versace and Van Cleef & Arpels.

Marchesa is the unofficial sponsor of award shows...I think Harvey Weinstein has something to do with it... I was very happy with Chanel Couture's dresses read: SJP and Diane Kruger. Best dressed: Diane Kruger Overrated: Vera Farmiga in the Oscar sponsor I'm not sure but I think I love it moment: Zoe Saldana in Givenchy Best dressed but not supposed to be at Oscars: Tie between Miley Cyrus and Nicole Richie
