Hard Copy: Rihanna in Elie Saab
Tap It!

Rihanna wore Elie Saab Fall 2009 Couture during the 2010 Grammy Awards and took inspiration from the runway in more ways than one...
It's no wonder that Rihanna (who won the Best Rap/Sung Collaboration with Jay-Z and Kanye West for Run this Town) chose a dress from Elie Saab's Fall 2009 Couture Collection, what with its seriously sculptural silhouette and extraordinarily embellished bodice, but it was unlike the pop princess to copy a runway look in its entirety.
From her noticeable roots to frosty make-up, Rihanna not only borrowed the gown, but the whole look, which is something many (including Carine Roitfeld) consider a major no-no. And although this may be a fashion faux pas, we're not sure how else the gown should have been worn on the red carpet.
What do you think: Was her look white hot or styledoff? Should Ri-ri have rocked the look any differently?
