StyledOn’s Editorial Director shares her fall lust list from Louis Vuitton’s perfect tri-color croc pump to Alexander McQueen’s hummingbird rug.
After living in New York for over seven years now, I finally have a substantial fall/winter wardrobe that includes a LOT of clothing and outerwear – believe it or not I own about five capes, five trench coats, six heavy winter coats, and a slew of short jackets. I typically keep my closet feeling fresh each season with new finds from H&M or Zara that I buy on the fly.
With all that being said, I'm obviously crushing on a few very major items this fall. What I’m currently lusting after are the great accessories and home items that'll still get compliments 10 years from now – like Alexander McQueen's hand-knotted cashmere and silk hummingbird rug for the Rug Company, $18,900. You all know from my recent personal post, that I'm obsessed with Louis Vuitton's tri-color croc bow pumps, but I've also fallen hard for Jil Sander's beyond chic gray Manga Madame handbag (all shown above).
While I have a ton of capes, trenches and coats, the one piece of outerwear that I'm missing is a really great leather jacket, which is why I'm DYING for Gareth Pugh's black leather and shearling biker jacket, $3,438 at Barneys. Another thing missing from my wardrobe? A piece of couture...and I'd love to start with a gorgeous fur piece from Bouchra Jarrar Couture Fall 2010. A firm believer that one can never have too many shoes, I'm totally taken with Givenchy's calf hair ankle boots, $1,190.
Ever since I first walked into SoHo home décor store, Ochre, I've wanted one of their glass ball lighting fixtures. But a girl needs bling on her fingers too. And while I'm ready for a serious diamond, I'm loving Baccarat's Bouchons de Carafe Ring and Reed Krakoff's T-Bar Ring, which retails for just $235.
I'm also semi-obsessed with Visionaire 58 Spirit: A Tribute to Lee Alexander McQueen, $295. Created as a tribute to the late Lee Alexander McQueen, the limited edition of Visionaire 58 Spirit features a collection of images by Nick Knight, Mario Sorrenti, Steven Meisel, Inez & Vinoodh, Mario Testino and more, all inspired by the unbridled creativity of the great designer.
Nothing beats a killer python satchel - and Nancy Gonzalez makes the best. Her violet infused bag is definitely one I'm lusting after – and so is Celine's beyond chic orange leather box bag ($3,400). But the accessory that I might actually splurge on is a pair of Christian Louboutin's Pigalle spiked ballerina flats, $995.
