Don't Judge A Book By Its Cover: Vogue's September Issue

Hating Vogue's latest cover? Don't judge too quickly, the stunning editorials inside – including this one with Lara Stone – are well worth the $4.99.
While many of the September issues have less than thrilling covers this year (see our Round Ups 1 and 2 here), Vogue’s was a particular letdown. Not only did they pick a super safe choice in Halle Berry, but the shot is dated, dull, and doesn’t do justice to the very thing those 726 pages are celebrating: fall fashion!
While many would say that in general, Vogue’s “it” factor has gone the way of the dinosaur (and we might be tempted to agree), the editorials in the latest issue are Vogue at its best, hitting on some of the season's biggest trends with beautiful photography and styling. If you were having any second thoughts about whether to shell out the $4.99 for it, this editorial featuring Lara Stone as a gorgeous suburban housewife from the 1950s will certainly change your mind. Styled by the inimitable Grace Coddington and shot by Mert Atlas and Marcus Piggott, “Sweater Girl” is simply stunning.
