Laura Cramer and Starr Hout are building your "forever wardrobe," one collection at a time.
Born one day apart, friends Laura Cramer and Starr Hout share a simple objective in their designs: to create timeless, ageless pieces that can constitute a woman’s entire wardrobe while never growing stale. It may seem like a simple goal, but it’s a very difficult one to achieve. Cramer and Hout, with their line Apiece Apart, have turned out impressive collections that consistently build upon each other in palette, texture and cut.
Their spring collection, shown at top, features a stunning pantsuit in ivory, hunter green palazzo pants, and sunny orange silk tulip skirt and tank. The palette, which also includes pale pink, mint, and mossy green, was inspired by David Hockney’s paintings, and the fabrics are soft, silky and luxurious.
The upcoming fall collection, above, features darker greens, navy and copper, and is a stunning show of classic-but-modern design. The tweed blanket coat (above left) features leather piping, and is paired with a gorgeous pair of olive suede matchstick pants. Cramer and Hout are relatively new designers, but their vision and focus is evident in the stunning clothes they make. These are truly wardrobe staples to keep and cherish for a lifetime.
Will you add a piece from Apiece Apart to your wardrobe?
