From warm apple cider donuts and Veronica Beard's India Jacket to skulls, skulls, and more skulls, here's a taste of what we're craving this October.

Current Cravings: October Edition

October is a great month. Why? The leaves are changing colors, everywhere you look people are coming up with creative ways to support breast cancer awareness, we can finally wear those fall layers and inspired outfits, and because of the greatest holiday ever, Halloween. So what are we sweet on now?

We're always crushing on some amazing piece for the home and right now it's Haus Interior's Bark Table Lamp ($375 shown above, left). The simple black shade paired with the rustic trunk and Lucite base make it an exceptionally illuminating style.

Lainey has been wearing the most insane Iosselliani earrings lately and we're crushing on the corresponding Quartz Skull Necklace ($175) as well. We love the crystal pendant, but the little skulls surrounding it are what really take the cake. And speaking of skulls... since its scarf season again, we're more obsessed than usual with Alexander McQueen's chic styles (around $475) and as well as his gray and white enamel bracelet ($275).

Apple. Cider. Donuts. What can we say? It's just that time of year and they're soooo good.

Now you know that we adore 20x200 (read our interview with Jen Bekman here) and our favorite (and newest piece of purchased art) is Momento Vitae by Alexander Beeching (prints start at just $20).

And as much as we love skulls, we love shoes more... Especially those coming up for Spring 2011 including the cool, cut-out styles from designer Burak Uyan.

We all really, really love painting our nails, but after months of greige we're ready to bling things up again. Deborah Lippmann's new glittery lacquers including Red Ruby Slippers ($18) and the super silvery Today was a Fairytale ($20, which contains virgin diamond powder) are just what we're looking for now.

And during the transitional weather, we rely on Smashbox's Photo Finish Foundation Primer ($36) more than ever, which creates a smooth canvas for our foundation and helps calm our sensitive skin.

Honestly, this list could very easily go on and on, but we'll end it with Veronica Beard's India Jacket ($945). This preppy wool tailored blazer features a notched lapel, double front button closure, and the super chic–and super detachable–navy and white striped knit dickey collar and cuffs. Sort of in love with this one, but know we could easily use it as DIY inspiration for one of those upcoming cold winter nights.

What are you craving now?

I know! New shoes designers are always the best. Their creativity is flowing and the consideration of sales isn't as heavy as it become later on.
