While we were celebrating Thanksgiving this weekend, the British Fashion Council announced the nominees for the British Fashion Awards including Georgia Jagger, Nicholas Kirkwood and Alexa Chung.
The British Fashion Council is ready to recognize their own from Designer of the Year to Outstanding contribution to British Fashion. While not all nominees have been named (including those up for the intriguing Isabella Blow Award for Fashion Creator), the following have been:

The selection committee is created of notable industry experts from Vogue UK's Alexandra Shulman and Style.com's Sarah Mower, to i-D's Terry Jones and Grazia's Paula Reed, but there is one award where we, the people, get a say: the London 25.
In celebration of the BFC's 25th anniversary, they have introduced a one-off award to recognize an individual who embodies the spirit of London and is an international ambassador for the capital. Nominnees include Alexa Chung, Christopher Kane, Kate Moss, Twiggy, Alexander McQueen - and you also have the option of suggesting someone different. Get your vote on here.
All winners will be announced in London on December 9th.
