Marie Andersen's blog, Blame It On Fashion, is a ray of sunshine that has us desperately longing for summer. Her style is Scandinavian-meets-LA, and it's always simple, chic, and comfortable to boot. She posts her daily looks, as well as her favorite runway looks and shopping lists. If you haven't gotten to know Marie yet, now is your chance in this week's edition of Blog Love.

StyledOn: Tell us a little about yourself – how did you get into blogging?
Marie Andersen: I had my first blog with 3 of my best friends. We lived in 4 different cities and one of us got the idea to keep each other updated on our busy everyday life with a blog. Not a success. Pretty soon it was only me and one of the other girls who were actually blogging – and it was all about fashion. We decided to start a fashion blog, which quickly became quite big in Denmark. When I moved to Los Angeles 6 months ago we both needed a fresh start and there you go – BlameItOnFashion was born.

SO: Other than adjusting for the weather, do you dress differently when you’re in LA versus when you are in Denmark? 
MA: I feel that ever since I moved to LA my wardrobe has evolved into a riot of colors and prints. And I love it!  Whether I’m in Copenhagen or LA my style is a mix of something girly, something minimalistic and something Scandinavian. I have lots of skirts and dresses and in LA I can wear them barelegged compared to Denmark where I have to wear black tights most of the year. Since I don’t like wearing black tights with colors it’s difficult not to end up in an all black, grey or dark blue ensemble when I’m in Denmark. That’s the difference. I don’t think I could ever wear an all-black outfit here in LA. It just doesn’t feel right. The sun needs some beautiful colors to shine at. 

SO: What’s your dream job?
MA: I love to write and style editorial guides and features – both for print and online and I have a dream of becoming an online fashion editor for a website or a brand. Back in Denmark I worked at a fashion magazine for 5 years. Intern, beauty editor, fashion writer, editor of an online magazine and junior fashion editor – I’ve tried and loved it all!

SO: What are your style words to live by?  
MA: It’s never boring to keep it simple.

SO: What is the most treasured item in your closet?
MA: My DanniJo necklace! I found it on Ebay last year and have been wearing it ever since. When I get dressed in the morning I tell myself to leave the necklace, but somehow it always finds its way to me.

SO: What is on your shopping list this season?
MA: Short suits, floral prints, strappy sandals, a pleated leather skirt, shirts and a new camera.

SO: Is there something you think every woman should have in her wardrobe?
MA: A beautiful dress that can save you from any what-to-wear crisis.

SO: What’s one item you never travel without?
MA: I always bring my skinny black pants from Whyred. They’re favorite in my wardrobe! I use them with anything from cropped jackets and girly tops to worn T-shirts and chunky knits. I’ve had them for years and never leave without them.

SO: We love your blog and read it on a regular basis. Which blogs do you read the most? 
MA: Thank you so much! I’m obsessed with WhoWhatWear, The Coveteur, Jak&Jil, Nobodyknowsmarc, The Manrepeller and Net-a-porter’s magazine.

SO: Tell us something about yourself that we might not expect. 
MA: I have a very soft spot for animals – especially dogs and horses. If you put on Black Beauty or The Fox and the Hound I will be crying nonstop for 90 minutes.
