Meet Jinna Yang, the beautiful chameleon behind Grease&Glamour in today's edition of Blog Love.

Jinna's Grease and Glamour

We were first introduced to Jinna Yang of Grease&Glamour in February of last year, when she came to our offices to make a behind-the-scenes video as a finalist for the Sunglass Hut's blogger competition. She was energetic, funny, and very StyledOn, and we have been following her and her site ever since – so it's only appropriate that you get to learn a little more about her in the latest edition of Blog Love. Meet Jinna below, and see the rest of her blog here!

StyledOn: Tell us a little about yourself – how did you get into blogging?
Jinna Yang: I started blogging while I was in college, mostly as a personal style blog. I was inspired by other bloggers to start my own and it’s been an amazing journey so far. I moved up to NYC a few months later, and it started taking off - I got the chance to attend Fashion Week for the first time, and that’s what sealed the deal.

SO: Who or what has most influenced your style?
JY: I’ve been inspired by a lot of different people and places growing up. I loved streetwear when I was younger (we’re talking teens here), I had a sneaker collection bigger than most boys. The more colorful, the better. When I started embracing heels, my sneakers started collecting dust - I started becoming inspired by more feminine looks mixed with an edgy appeal. Moving to NYC has shifted my style a bit due to the weather. I love layering - mixing different textures and patterns has become an experiment in itself. Sometimes it turns out perfect, sometimes it doesn’t. Most importantly, it’s unique and it’s me. That’s all that matters.

SO: Has your style changed since you started blogging?
JY: I’m more open to taking risks. Blogging has forced me to be more open to other styles, and it’s so fun to dress up. I figure it out as I go along. I’ve definitely integrated more thrifted/vintage pieces - almost 60% of my closet is now thrifted/vintage. I love one-of-a-kind pieces that are timeless and classic but have an edge about them.

SO: What is the most treasured item in your closet?
JY: That’s a hard one! I have these bird print Miu Miu clogs from their Spring 2010 collection that I love so so much. I also have a vintage blush blouse with wonderful puff sleeves that my grandmother gave to me. It means so much more because I know it was hers.

SO: What’s at the top of your wishlist right now?
JY: Definitely anything Burberry Prorsum. It gets cold out here in NYC, and their coats are to-cry-for.

SO: What are your dreams for Grease&Glamour?
JY: I’m currently working on setting up an online vintage boutique - to finally see this set up and take off would be a dream. I’d also love to travel more, work with different brands and make this a full time career!

SO: If you could go shopping with anyone for a day, who would it be?
JY: Daphne Guinness. We wouldn’t have to go anywhere. I’d just meet her at her house.

SO: We love your blog and read it on a regular basis. Which blogs do you read the most?
JY: I love Karla’s Closet, Gary Pepper Vintage, Style Slicker, 5 inch and Up. They’re amazing, unique and they seem really sincere. That’s what I love.

SO: Tell us something about yourself that we might not expect.
JY: I’m the biggest goofball ever. I make really weird noises at really random times. I love to joke around and never try to take myself seriously (well unless it’s my work). Don’t ask me why I do it. :)

Are you loving Jinna's style as well?
