Ivania's Love Aesthetics

With shots of her minimalist ensembles and her stark, modern home, Love Aesthetics is a blog that inspires us every day. Ivania Carpio, the ethereal beauty behind the site, has very well-defined tastes that carry throughout the site, from her very doable DIY projects to an experiment she conducted earlier this year to see what it might be like to wear the same white tank dress every day for 30 days. Read on to learn more about this intriguing blogger, and see the rest of her site here!

StyledOn: Tell us a little about yourself – how did you get into blogging?
Ivania Carpio: My ambition has been to become a fashion journalist for a long time. I've been reading blogs since the beginning of their time and to me they are a platform where everyone gets a voice in fashion, no matter how small it is. Starting a blog seemed like a great place to start.

SO: What is your dream career?
IC: To work as a fashion journalist for the online department of a magazine or newspaper. Making videos, doing interviews, taking pictures and writing articles.

SO: Who is someone whose style has inspired you?
IC: I admire Alexander Wang for carrying his style through his mens and womens collections, in what he wears himself, in the interior of his stores and his offices. It all just fits so well together. That's something I look up to and want for myself too – to surround myself with things that are aesthetically pleasing to me, from the furniture, to the art on the walls, to the shoes on my feet.

SO: What is on your wishlist for fall?
IC: Two investments: A good winter jacket that will last me a lifetime and a pair of good boots.

SO: What are some of the blogs you read most?
IC: I never miss a post from Luxirare.

SO: Are there any pieces you think are worth splurging on?
IC: Things that you need every day and that are timeless... like a handbag. But I also think expensive doesn't automatically mean good quality and cheap doesn't automatically mean bad quality. I've had 250-Euro Miu Miu's break beyond repair in just a few months and just today I bought a silk vintage shirt for just 10-Euros.

SO: If you could go on a shopping spree in any city in the world, where would you choose to go?
IC: New York!

SO: Tell us something about yourself we might not expect?
IC: People are usually shocked when they find out that I'm the mother of a 5 year old girl.

Are you loving Ivania's style?
