Bee Eadie's Atlantic-Pacific

Bee Eadie dishes on her most treasured Ralph Lauren shirt, how she gets the perfect pouf, and why she's never seen Gossip Girl in our latest edition of Blog Love.

We first discovered Blair "Bee" Eadie's blog, Atlantic-Pacific, after her picture started cropping up all over the tumblr-verse, and had to track down her blog. What we found there was nothing short of wonderful, from her wrists full of bracelets and bangles, to her major knack for layering. She has a fresh take on sophisticated dressing, and always adds a bit of humor into her outfits, whether it's an oversized bow or pairing stripes with stripes. We sat down with Bee to talk blogging, beauty, and what she's craving for summer.

StyledOn: Tell us a little about yourself – how did you get into blogging?
Blair Eadie: I work for a major retailer in San Francisco as a merchandiser. I have always loved fashion and retail and through work I discovered the fantastic world of blogging. For over a year I followed the blogging world and slowly toyed with the idea of starting one myself. My boyfriend encouraged me to and we have been blogging ever since!

SO: How would you describe your style?
BE: Quirky and eclectic. I would not say that I have one strong style point of view, but I do tend to gravitate towards preppy and clean with an emphasis on layering and accessorizing. I attempt to always have an element of sophistication in each look.

SO: What is your most essential accessory?
BE: I would say my oversized monogrammed necklace. I also love stacks of bangles and am always looking for another over the top statement necklace for my growing collection. I have a feeling some readers would argue my hair is my essential accessory… but you be the judge.

SO: You often wear a bright red or coral lipstick. What are your favorites?
BE: I love Make Up For Ever Professionals #41. It is the perfect mix of red and coral, almost a bittersweet. For reds I turn to YSL, but also love a good drugstore find.

SO: Let’s talk about your hair. You do the “pouf” so well! Any secrets on how to get the look?
BE: I use a lot of product and it has been many years of perfecting the art of teasing (ask my college girlfriends). It actually takes me less time to perform an up-do than it is for me to fully dry and straighten my hair.

SO: What is the most treasured item in your closet?
BE: I wouldn’t say there is just one, but if I had to choose I would say there is a Ralph Lauren nautical printed silk top that I have held onto for years.

SO: What’s at the top of your wishlist right now?
BE: Bedroom slipper style flats that are monogrammed (monogrammed anything is a favorite of mine), more full skirted minis, a chambray short suit, and great leather pants for fall.

SO: Do you have any big plans or goals for your blog this year?
BE: It is all a journey… we will see where it goes. I never want to stop learning – so it is all about taking in new knowledge, meeting new people and trying to evolve what I have already begun.

SO: We love your blog and read it on a regular basis. Which blogs do you read the most?
BE: I could hand you scroll right now, but to name a few: B Jones Style, The Glamourai, Late Afternoon, Style/Stalk, Sincerely Jules, Man Repeller, Sterling Style, Song of Style… and on and on and on…

SO: Tell us something about yourself that we might not expect.
BE: Since I have left home I have never owned a TV. I seriously have no idea what people are talking about when they start talking about current TV… yes that includes Gossip Girl – never seen it.

Yay! Finally one of my fave blogger got a feature on here! Great interview too Emily! I just love her take on preppy with classic sophistication yet modern style. Is it weird that I'm trying to emulate her style?
