StyledOn Six: Our Favorite Beauty Products Under $6

Feature Article in Beauty by Casey Kettleson / July 29, 2010
From mark's sinfully good Scanda-Lash Hook Up Mascara to Neutrogena's killer Pink Grapefruit Foaming Scrub, here are six of our favorite beauty products that'll just set you back $6 or less!

Because looking gorgeous shouldn't cost a fortune...

Neutrogena Foaming Scrub, Pink Grapefruit Oil-Free Acne Wash, $5.84
Over the years, we've discovered that Neutrogena is a pretty reliable brand and the pink grapefruit foaming scrub is hands-down one of their best products to date. It really helps with breakouts and feels great to use. Not a very harsh scrub, this one won't dry out your skin the way a lot of others will. A top-seller, we recommend that you give this one a try.

mark Scanda-Lash Hook Up Mascara, $6
Compared to buxom bad gal lash mascara, mark's super-rich, thickening mascara lengthens, thickens and defines lashes without clumping. And with Scanda-Lash, you're not only limited to black – this great formula is available in four great colors including Blacklash, Brownout, Indiglow and Winegloss. After trying this, you'll wonder why you've been spending over $25 for mascara all of these years.

Smith's Rosebud Salve Lip Balm, $5
Always a purse staple of ours, we use Rosebud Salve all the time - on our lips (to soothe and as a base), to hold our eye brow hairs in place if need be, and to moisturize our cuticles, elbows and even knees too. A friend also uses it on her blemishes and when she has minor burns. And this is another great inexpensive find that smells amazing too.

Maybelline Line Stiletto Ultimate Precision Liquid Eyeliner, $5.94
This liner goes on very smoothly and comes off just as easily. The flexible felt tip glides on beautifully and gives you precise control over the application. We use ours to create a stellar cat-eye effect. Seriously, some of us prefer this to event YSL's coveted liquid liners – and that should tell you a lot. And if you've never used a liquid eyeliner, but have always wanted to, this is a good one to start with as the formula isn't thick at all.

Wet n Wild H2O Proff Blending Eye Pencil, $1.99
At just $1.99, Wet n Wild brings us a cheap eye pencil that is actually better than a ton of expensive ones. Smudge-proof and waterproof, this liner glides on smoothly and comes with a smudging tool that will help you create the ever so desirable smoky-eye. Another one of our favorite products, this baby comes in four colors as well.

New York Color's Extreme Lip Glider Lip Gloss, $3.99
The minute we tried this lip gloss, we really loved it! Available in over five shimmering, sheer colors, this ultra-shine gloss comes in a slim tube that'll easily fit easily into any pocket. It's also feels very moisturizing and doesn't leave that goopy gloss ring around your mouth the way cheaper glosses sometimes do. We also love the sweet fruity scent.
