Nothin' But Neck

With so many strapless dresses making their way down the red carpet for the 82nd Annual Academy Awards, the neck was the main attraction.

One of the best things about strapless dresses are the many styling options they present you with. Typically, when donning a strapless gown, you either go with big earrings (a la Carey Mulligan's cascading Fred Leighton beauties seen below, right), or with a large statement necklace–but the latter was scarcely seen last night.

The divine Kate Winslet was one of the only ladies who did rock a necklace–a deco-inspired $2.5 million yellow-diamond necklace from Tiffany & Co. no less–with her sleek, strapless gown by Yves Saint Laurent, but it still didn't jump out at us the way we wish it had.
