Frontlines: StyledOn at Liberty of London for Target

Feature Article in Fashion by Emily Kropp / March 10, 2010
Thinking about hitting up the Liberty of London pop-up shop this weekend? Read here for the know-before-you-go info.

In case you missed it, we adore all things Liberty, but initial reports of lines down the block made the prospect of scoring the best pieces from the Liberty of London for Target collection seem bleak. But at 3:00 p.m. this afternoon, I trudged my way uptown to scope out the scene, and hopefully land myself some Liberty loveliness.

The verdict? Yes, it was pretty picked over, but definitely still worth going. I walked away with some pretty bangin’ booty (as you can see from my bulging shopper, above), and feel it is my duty to pass on some tips for those floral fans to follow in my footsteps.Liberty of London Target

Above: Bras for $16.99, panties for $7.99, and even garter belts for $9.99.

While I didn’t have to wait to get into the store, the line for the dressing rooms was looooong. Clothes seemed to run a bit big (with the exception of the lingerie), so I would definitely recommend trying on, but if you’re brave enough wear spandex and try on over.Liberty of London Target

Above: Pajama set for $17.99.

Go early for any home interior items (including gardening pieces and umbrellas), there were none left at 3:00 p.m. The staff is helpful and sans-attitude, so if you’re looking for something in particular or in a particular size, ask. They were re-stocking some items including lingerie and a few of the jars and platters, but teapots and mugs were sadly all gone too.

The LOL for Target pop-up shop is open Thursday through Sunday from 9:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m at 42nd Street and Sixth Ave.

Will you brave the fray for Liberty?
