Time to Spring Forward

Honesty, we have mixed feelings about the upcoming daylight savings time adjustment. On the one hand it means that we are that much closer to heralding in the sunny days of spring (which officially start March 21^st) and unearthing our favorite warm weather clothes and shoes that go along with the new season. On the other hand, it means that we will be sacrificing a very precious hour from our much needed beauty rest. This Sunday, why not rouse yourself from abridged slumber with some of our favorite clocks and watches? And while you're at it, rock out in some of our favorite watch-inspired jewelry pieces.

With the recent move into our new Soho office, we have had our eyes on all things decorative and chic and we’ve come to the conclusion that one of the easiest ways to add a personal flourish to a room is with a clock. Our favorites are anything but your standard black on white circular numbers. To celebrate spring, our hearts are a-flutter over Diamanti & Domeniconi’s Butterfly Clock (above, left) which comes in three perfectly muted sorbet colors. One of our all time favorite timepieces is the stunning Ghost Clock (above, center), designed by artist Yee-Ling Wan. This haunting, modern take on a traditional classic instantly adds polish to any room, whether placed on a mantle or wall mounted. Another great tongue-in-cheek update on a classic is the Father Time Wall Decal and True Clock (above, right). It’s the perfectly prompt option for those with old world taste but live within the space constraints of a city apartment. 

Wild about watches, we’re tired of hearing the lame excuses people give for not wearing them anymore—just because your BlackBerry keeps time, it does not mean that you can’t also get some style mileage out of a great wrist piece. From sporty and bejeweled to chunky and oversized, a new watch is the perfect way to add some personality to your spring wardrobe. I am personally lusting over Chopard’s gold Happy Sport, which would definitely ensure my punctuality, but would also be quite happy settling for Michael Kors’ chain banded gold watch. We’re also loving Fendi’s unique Ceramic Quadro Watch (main image, top left) and the trendy Chain Wrap Watch from La Mer (pictured left).
