Apartment Porn: Olaf Hajek's Berlin Home

One of the most successful illustrators in the world, Olaf Hajek has done work for The New York Times, Bacardi, The Gaurdian and many more, and has illustrated stamps for Great Britain’s Royal Mail. His images are colorful, magical-realist works influenced by West African and Latin American art, and his Berlin home (featured on one of our favorite Sites to Scour, Freunde von Freunden) embodies one of his most signature traits: like his illustrations, it’s full of surprises. He has beautiful art, antiques, a unique mix of furniture and even toys, all of which come together for a space that is bright and cheerful while still feeling minimal and uncluttered. Whether it’s his home or his illustrations that inspire you, Hajek is hard not to love.
