Feast your eyes on the gorgeous English home of textile and accessories designer Cath Kidston, also known as “The Queen of Florals.” Originally two separate flats, the space was extensively renovated by Kidston and her partner to make it feel like one cohesive unit, and the pair have largely stayed true to the 18th century design of the home. Kidston describes herself as the kind of person who sees a flea market and “must go in.” Her home reflects not only her ability to pick out décor gems, but the ongoing quest for great artwork both new and old.
Kidston’s advice for bringing her punchy florals into your space without overwhelming it? “Take a very plain bedroom and add a floral linen to the bed so it is the only print in the room,” she says. “Florals don’t need to be in your face. You can use them in a subtle way because they bring so much character to a place.” Check out her incredible home here, and be sure to scour Lonny Mag for other drool-worthy abodes and stellar tips for doing up your own space in style.
