Photo Diary: NY Gift Show Day One

August 17, 2010

The New York Gift Show is unlike any other trade show in that there's a little bit of everything to be discovered. Here are a few of our very favorite discoveries, from UFO-inspired serving pieces to the cutest pillows we've ever seen.

New pieces by artist Beth Weintraub, who happens to find great beauty in dying flowers.

Love the new calendars by Snow & Graham as well as the holiday cards they have coming out this November.

Museum of Robots has some chic, fun home accessories from the nut napkin rings to the outta this world salt & pepper rocket shakers (totally buying a set of these, fyi).

If you're in the market for brightly colored metal hooks and sweet doggie bowls (among other things), you'll definitely want to check out the offerings of these creatures.

We've already told you about Poketo, but were happy to check out their new bags (made from recycled Korean signs) and stationary items.

9SpotMonk Letterpress brings a bit of fun to the dinner table with color-placemats – and excellent gift for anyone with children under the age of 8.

In addition to awesome shagreen cuffs and jewelry, Vivo offers a wide range of frames and trays.

You first saw Wool and the Gang's sweet knitting gift kits on NET-A-PORTER, but the company is growing and now offers even more kits for all of you aspiring knitters.

Jasper + Black Archie Grand sweet little notebooks will help you remember and organize the things or people that you've met and liked. There are also large versions, which I may end up getting for Emily one of these days.

Alexandra Ferguson's recycled felt appliquéd pillows are not only a shining example of chic eco-fashion, but they say the best things like STUD, Let's Make Out, Welcome Home, etc.

We love Alice Supply Co. and we're happy to see that they're bringing their adorable touch to the world of shears and trophies now.

Now there's certainly more to come, but what are you loving you so far?

I'm still trying to get my hands on the Poketo men's suit tote bag!

You should, Fiq! They're super cool and made really well - I've looked all through them.
