In the Green Room

New Yorkers may have made it through the great Blizzard of 2010, but there are still plenty of cold months left in 2011. If you’ve taken down your holiday decorations but feel like your place is looking a little dull, what better way to herald the sun and Spring (it’ll be here before you know it!) than by greening up your home with a fresh coat of paint, a pair of bright accent pillows, or even a new sofa? You deserve it! It’s a new year, after all.

Take a look at some of our favorite green rooms, get inspired to add a little life to your own spaces, and remember that it doesn’t take an entire redesign to revitalize your home (and your outlook!).

If you really need a change of pace in your pad, neon and lime greens make a bold statement – and will put an instant smile on your face. (via LivingEtc)

To disguise green as more of a neutral hue, opt for a gray-tinted shade like the one above. (via LivingEtc)
