Brooklyn based duo Telephoned turns hits into hits with dance beats, vocal flavor and creative takes on top 40 tunes.

Telephoned was born when DJ Sammy Bananas and songstress Maggie Horn decided to record a cover/remix/re-imagining of T-Pain's "I Can't Believe It," and struck gold. They've kept with the same recipe since then, and the result is their self-titled debut EP out tomorrow on Fool's Gold Records (the same folks who brought you Kid Sister).
The duo picks pop tunes that are already pretty loveable and amps up the dance-able factor by throwing in classic club beats and more lady vocals. The Off The Hook mixtape includes reimaginings of songs from Mario, The Dream, Keri Hilson, and Soulja Boy, and while there are a few misses ("Breakfast" left me a little puzzled) the mixtape is full of tunes perfect for your next dance party.

Party with Telephoned this Wednesday night at Ella in NYC for the release party for their EP, and listen for yourself. You'll also get to check out a DJ set from Nick Catchdubs, and who doesn't love a mid-week party to get you through until the weekend?
