The biggest fashion event to hit the world is happening again on September 10, 2010. Start planning your evening now!
Ah, Fashion's Night Out. We barely survived the hurricane of fashion parties and events last year and are super excited to do it all again this year! With over 100 retailers participating and a revamped website to help us all navigate the evening better, FNO is sure to be even more of a success the second time around.
The FNO site allows you to search by neighborhood (broken up into NYC boroughs and specific areas within), categories (men's, women's, shoes, fragrance, etc.), and by specialty (Art, Block Party, Fashion Show, Gift with Purpose, etc.). I just searched for SoHo + Women's + Shoes + Accessories + Celebrity + DJ + Free Gift and FNO suggested I check out the rag & bone/3.1 Phillip Lim co-hosted street party featuring burgers, fries and shakes, a live DJ, Gucci Westman (who will perform mini-makeovers), and more. It also suggested I hit up the Ralph Lauren event where we'll all be able to rub elbows with Andre Leon Talley while sipping champagne, shopping and enjoying a performance by Grammy nominated singer Janelle Monae.
And what's really great about the site is that in addition to providing excellent recommendations, it also allows you to save them as a part of "My Night Out," which you can share with friends (see mine here), email, or print.
There are really so many great options out there, so which will you choose? We highly suggest that you go to the site now and start planning the evening out with some of your best shopping buddies...
Planning on buying a FNO tee this year? Of course you are! They are $20 for the tank, $25 for the tee, $30 for the long-sleeved tee, $25 for the men's tee, and $60 for the hoodie (all available in sizes S-XL), and they are available at many StyledOn retailers including 3.1 Phillip Lim, Club Monaco, Kirna Zabete, Roger Vivier, Sephora, and Bloomingdales. See here for the complete list of retailers. Forty percent of proceeds raised from the sales of the tees will go to the New York City AIDS Fund.
What events are you planning on hitting up this year – and how are you planning on styling your tee?
