Restaurant Week is in full swing, and our stomachs are grumbling just trying to decide which of the many options to try first.
As the winter drags on, the little comforts in life become all the more important and food is at the top of the list. And as tough as New York City can be, it also has it's softer side, and Restaurant Week is like one big hug for all of us chilly, hungry New Yorkers.
There are dozens of incredible eateries participating in the event, offering three course pre-fix menus for lunch and/or dinner. The lunch will cost you just $24.07, and dinner runs at $35 (a screaming deal). An added bonus is that most all of the restaurants participating can be booked online through OpenTable.com, saving you the trouble of calling a million places before you can make a reservation.
Here are three of our favorite picks for a yummy good time:
Resto: Belgian Food has never looked so good. The options for restaurant week include comfort food favorites like onion soup, crispy lamb shoulder, veal, and a Belgian waffle for dessert. How to decide?
Perk: Warm and cozy atmosphere, bar seating.
Devi: Serving up some of the most incredible Indian food in the city, Devi's flavors are consistently nuanced and satisfying. The flavored rice offers a wonderful compliment to some of their spicier dishes, and the decor is just right for date night.
Perk: Great for vegetarians.
Fig and Olive: Garnering consistent praise and now with three locations, Fig and Olive start off their dishes with meticulously selected olive oils to enhance the flavors of their already unbelievable meditteranean ingredients. We've got our eyes on the shrimp and scallop paella and the penne funghi tartufo.
Perk: Lots of options on the pre-fix menu (four appetizers and five entrees).
Where will you dine this week?
