Following in the footsteps of Giles Deacon, Matthew Williamson and Erdem Moralioglu, Holly Fulton has designed a limited edition collection of diaries and planners for high-end stationary brand, Smythson.

Holly Fulton’s art-deco inspired drawings are the latest adornments to the classic journals and diaries from British stationary company, Smythson. And while hers isn’t the first designer collection for the brand, Fulton’s may prove to be the most commercially successful, thanks to the fact that Smythson’s creative director, Samantha Cameron, is now the First Lady of the UK, shining a new spotlight on the company since David Cameron took office in May.
Fulton’s collection comes in pale yellow and aqua, and each book is lined in black and white printed silk in a pattern from her fall collection (seen above). Smythson’s designer collaborations were Cameron’s idea: “We were keen to work with Holly, as we felt her original, very strong graphic designs would work well with the simplicity of our books, diaries and stationery,” Cameron tells WWD. “Our collaboration with Holly marks the continuation of Smythson’s exciting work with young British design talent.” Fulton's designs will be available in October.
Do you keep a journal? Do you prefer a precious leather-bound version or a simple spiral notebook?

Lately I have been talking about doing it so much, and I'm ready to go for the journal. Then I can end every day with "dear diary," -
