This year we celebrated the holidays at Abe & Arthur's in Manhattan's Meatpacking district–we suggest you do the same.

Eat, Drink & Be Merry at Abe & Arthur's

Occupying the a prime slice of the meatpacking district, sandwiched between Moschino and Alexander McQueen, is one of our new favorite restaurants, Abe and Arthur's. Combining contemporary American cuisine with sleek, stylish décor and thoughtful hospitality, Abe & Arthur's is one spot you won't want to miss.Abe and Arthurs drink menu

Just as delicious as the designer wares in the stores next door, everything on Abe and Arthur's menu is worth a try. Let's start with drinks, shall we? First of all, the wine and the cocktails are good and worth the price–not too sweet, not too strong, but just right. Made with fresh strawberries, the Strawberry Caipirinha is way better than any you'll get in a traditional Brazilian restaurant. The Singapore Sling was another favorite as were the classic martinis.

We literally ordered every appetizer available and can honestly recommend them all as well; our favorites include Beth's Meatballs (tender, juicy and served with a chunky tomato sauce), Spinach & Artichoke Dip, Jumbo Lump Blue Crab Cakes, and the Tuna Tartare Tacos.

As far as the entrees go, we highly suggest you consider the evening special (whatever it may be), Seared Yellowfin Tuna, Roasted Free Range Chicken (super juicy and served with a killer mushroom sauce), any of the steak options, or the Pan-Roasted Sea Scallops. And yes, the desserts are bananas too–especially the Carnival for Two featuring warm ricotta donuts and licorice funnel cake.

Unless you want a more private dining experience, you'll want to sit downstairs in the main room (where most of the action is), which you should request when making your reservation.

We'll definitely be back at Abe & Arthur's in the new year, will we see you there?Abe and Arthurs restaurant nyc
