Because you can take the girl out of Paris, but you can’t take Paris out of the girl. Our guide to The City of Light, just in time for Paris Fashion Week...

A Very StyledOn Guide to Paris

With only memories left of running in heels around New York City, compulsively refreshing our browsers to see what’s up across the pond in London, and cramming in as much Italian lingo as we could gather for the sake of Milan, it’s almost time to bid farewell to Fashion Month. But not so fast, we’ve still got a full week of watching as the very best in fashion pile onto Place Vendome, the Jardin des Tuileries, and all of des Palais. So as homage to one last week of chic, we deliver you a StyledOn guide to enjoying a little bit of the best Paris has to offer: The StyledOn Guide to Paris

Dining

You may (or may not) need to take a break from inhaling croissants and crêpes. Should you find yourself craving something a little more healthy, head to the heart of St. Germain de Pres for a quick bite at Cuisine de Bar (right). Think organic bread, open-faced sandwiches and yummy vegetable tarts. The best part? A free glass of wine with your order. Just don’t get wasted, it would be a shame to overlook the killer vintage shops across the street.

The Costes brothers may dominate the fine-dining scene in Paris right now, but Le Derrière (left), a hidden gem in the 3rd Arrondisement, is about to give them a run for their…foie gras. The cozy restaurant works just like a home. You have the option to dine in the main room, play ping-pong in the salon, drink champagne in the boudoir or dessert in the upstairs bedroom. Costes out, Derrière in.

The StyledOn Guide to ParisNightlife

A warning to the top hat on Avenue Marceau, there’s a new Baron in town and he chills in St. Germain. Club Le Montana (right) quickly became the go-to hot spot for the likes of Terry Richardson, Olivier Zahm, and the crème de la croppe of the hipster scene in Paris. The departed regulars of the Beatrice Inn have nothing on the crowd Le Montana draws.

Tip: The door's a bit tough but keep in mind, the big (seriously huge) doormen who decide the fate of your night are–like anyone else–just looking for a little love.

…And if clubs aren’t your thing head over to Blitz Tequila Bar (right) in the swanky 8th Arrondisement. Up the stairs you’ll find comfy couches, drag queens, yodeling waiters and roaring twenties inspired art everywhere.

Run quick though! The pop-up bar closes in May.

Culture

Musèe Jeu de Paume (right). Originally built for Napoleon circa 1861, this museum is currently home to the work of some of our favorite contemporary artists. Head over now to catch: Mathilde Rosier, Willy Ronis, Denise Colomb and Samuel Bianchini. You just missed Fellini… sorry. A word to the wise: more than half of PFW’s shows take place at the Tuileries Gardens, so wear a killer outfit and take a little stroll after feeding your culture craving. Who knows, you may end up on Jak&Jil, The Sartorialist, or... one of our very own community posts.

Shopping
The StyledOn Guide to ParisFrench designers know what’s up, and the proof is on the pricetag. Hermes, Chanel, Gaultierle sigh.

But fret not dear friends and head to The Kooples. Opened in 2008, The Kooples comes from the same guys who brought us Comptoir des Cotonniers. Maybe not exactly budget friendly but hey, it’s a small price to pay to look effortlessly badass all the time. Think: loads of white, beige, grey, navy and black. Studded details, chains, pleats galore, zippers, scalloped hemlines and perfect silhouettes.

HotelThe StyledOn Guide to Paris
After a long day, you’ll need somewhere to hang your hat. For a seriously StyledOn retreat, turn to Mama Shelter, designed by Philip Starck. We’re talking delicious food, a seriously hip bar lounge, romantic terraces, iMacs in every room and five-star bedding. The hotel is so delicious you probably won’t want to leave. Don’t say we didn’t warn you.
