Our own Leandra pointed out today that lately, the best way to get your picture taken is (of course) by wearing something chic, and by being on or near a bike (a lá Kim Noorda, above right). Bikes have long had a supporting role in photos by style-shooters like the Sartorialist and Garance Doré, but Catherine Baba's improbable YSL heels-on-bike shot by Tommy Ton (bottom) seems to have ignighted a biking frenzy, and just in time for the release of Sanyo's "eneloop bike," an electric hybrid bicycle that charges as you pedal.
Previously, electric bicycles were only able to charge during a downhill coast, but thanks to Sanyo's new and improved version, you can store up all the electric juice for a truly tough uphill climb (afterall, you don't want to let them see you sweat, right?). The bike releases in Japan in April, and will retail for about $1,800.
How much would you shell out to land yourself a spot on Jak&Jil?
